Although Riley's offers no "on site" camping, we are the premier Ozark outfitter to facilitate a primitive camping trip on the White or Buffalo Rivers. We can shuttle your gear & group to a campsite on the river, via jon boat. We also supply jon boats, canoes & kayaks for camping trips on the river. If you like to camp but don't have all the equipment, we can rent you our professional camp equipment. Let us help create memories for families, friends, couples & kids.

The River Rangler

Ozark camping trips are made easy with a River Rangler A River Ranglers are professional Ozark camp hands that keep a camping trip moving down river. Fully outfitted, but unguided. Riley's will help shoulder the load of your next camping trip with our professional base camp equipment and wilderness camping skills. An outing designed for larger groups or families. Start floating and fishing early, or quit late. We set up base camp and prepare the most delicious camp cuisine. This adventure is interactive and participatory. (CAMPS INCLUDE) You may be asked to bring a tent and bedding, depending on the size of your crew. Miles Riley along with one Ozark camp hand normally wrangle the outing and will be glad to give fishing advice (when asked, of course).

Mid-River Voyager Camp

Camp and fish up to 28 miles of the best rivers in the Ozark Mountains. Start at the catch and release waters of Rim Shoals destined for up to 3 days of adventure ending your camping trip at the mouth of the world-renowned Norfork River. While floating in Riley's canoes, don't forget to fish the mouth of Crooked Creek; take a swim and eat some lunch. Spend the afternoon on the longest shoal on the river, Buffalo Shoals. Paddle by the enormous canyon wall in Buffalo City. Continue to the mouth of the Buffalo National River to find your drop camp set and ready. Enjoy using our well-organized camp of professional equipment. (CAMPS INCLUDE) Wake up to explosive top water smallmouth action and turkeys coming off the roost. Spend the day on the Buffalo fishing and relaxing (hammock will be required). Spend another night on the Buffalo then paddle to Riley's to take out or continue down the White to exit at Shipp's Ferry or the mouth of Norfork Village. Don't forget trout and smallmouth cohabitate in this section of the river.

Drop Camps

The Arkansas Ozark Mountains are an excellent place for fishermen, hunters & hikers. Pick one of several locations in the wilderness area of the Buffalo Nat'l River or on the scenic trout water of the White River. Custom camping trips with views of a remote river bank setting. Thousands of acres to explore around your campsite. Step down to the river and fish or swim. We pack our professional equipment in for you. Jon boats, canoes or kayaks can be included to give you access on and off the river. Each camp is completely set up with Riley's professional equipment and ready upon your arrival. (CAMPS INCLUDE) We can escort you to camp and answer any questions regarding the forests, rivers, or camp equipment. We leave you to enjoy and relax in the wilderness and mountains with plenty of hiking, hunting, sightseeing and fishing.

Fully guided camp trips

Let us guide you through your camping trip in Buffalo country or Sylamore Nat'l forest. Depart from the dock or take a wilderness float trip. We pitch luxury camps on the riverbanks. We can accommodate fishing parties, nature trips or just simply enjoy your time in the Ozark Mountaing camping. All guides stay in guide tents at camp and will cook serve and tend all camp chores. We certainly don't mind if you want to help out at camp, but it's not expected. Large heated outfitter tents, cots with pads, bedding, outstanding meals cooked on the open fire. This is Ozark camping and adventure at its finest.

Huck & Tom Adventures

Once in a lifetime guided Ozark Mountain trip! Don't read about it, JUST DO IT! Privately guided expedition that covers 50 + miles of river while camping in a White River jon boat converted into a “River Wagon“, complete with canvas top and smoke stack from wood stove/heater. This is a one of a kind, custom, camp in, luxury riverboat yacht designed to be self-contained for two people. Enjoy a long trip down the Buffalo or cover the entire Bull Shoals tailwater. This is a one man trip guided by Miles Riley, frontier style. Hot cooked meals on a wood stove while leisurely floating along. A journey that will bring you back to the basics and scenic beauty beyond compare.

Camps include: Appropriate sized outfitter tents to sleep your group. Sleeping pads or cots, sleeping bags with linens. Stove, lights & heater. Chuck box full of kitchen & dishwashing supplies. All pots, pans, dishes, & utensils. Camp table, chairs, garbage bags, Zip-lock bags, toilet paper, paper towels, matches, drinking and cooking water in jugs, rope, handsaw, first-aid kit & fire extinguisher. Lots of gear for comfort and utility, ask for a detailed list.
